Mayor Bill de Blasio signaled Thursday that New York City will likely scale back two staples of the holiday season — the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree celebration — to prevent crowding that could fuel another coronavirus outbreak.
